How Michiganders are aiding stem cell research

Four local projects are targeting everything from myeloma to kidney failure. Teams at Wayne State University are working on projects that could lead to therapies for stroke, fetal alcohol syndrome and chronic kidney failure. Children's Hospital of Michigan is teaming with Wayne State are working on a study that explores blood from umbilical cords donated to research by women delivering babies at Hutzel Women's Hospital.
